Sometimes I learn about all kinds of cases - usually sad, unjust or just plain old cruel cases - which spark my curiosity, leaving me asking:
Did no one notice what was going on?
What were they thinking?
How did this evolve into what it became?
The best example for me to give would be the Holocaust.
I remember asking myself as a kid - were all the Germans just evil? Did they all understand what's going on? And the simple low-ranking soldiers, not the Generals and Commanders, but those who were stationed at mundane, day-to-day posts with no perspective of the 'bigger picture' or true knowledge of the wide scope of things happening - what was going through their minds? And hearts?
The Holocaust is given here only as an example - situations like these can be small or large, personal or collective, simple or complex; and to be totally honest I'll admit to taking part in cases like these where I, too, was the offender.
Blackfish gives you the opportunity to witness one of those cases.
"Forgive them, for they know not what they do" says Jesus in the new testament.
And I ask - what about those who did know what they do?
